SCREEN HERITAGE
Thurrock’s heritage is rich but often overlooked. Film Thurrock is dedicated to preserving and sharing these stories through screen heritage and digital projects, working closely with local and national partners and diverse communities.
The Thurrock Young Film Network offers brilliant opportunities for young people aged 18–25 to gain hands-on experience in the film industry. Participants can get involved through work experience, shadowing, and volunteering across a range of areas.

Join us for two family-friendly, hour-long screenings of archive films from the British Film Institute around VJ Day. Hosted by Purfleet Heritage and Military Centre.

This project presents a powerful collection of oral history interviews with 15 members of Thurrock’s Caribbean community. The interviews will be available to view online from October.
An exhibition of display panels will tour Thurrock.
