YOUNG FILM NETWORK
YOUNG PEOPLE IN SCREEN CULTURE
Sessions and work experience that support young people in acquiring skills for the film industry. Their experiences will develop their portfolios, leading to career opportunities and pathways into the profession.
The Young Film Programmers group, led by Alan Bright, helps to plan and curate screenings at Thurrock Film Club and Thurrock Film Festival.
TFP is funded by Film Hub South East.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Thurrock Young Film Network offers a range of opportunities for young people wishing to engage in aspects of the film industry and perhaps to join the profession.
Participating in our annual Thurrock Screen Culture Festival, Thurrock Film Clubs and Productions, young people can engage in range of experiences.
- programme for Thurrock Film Festival and Thurrock Film Clubs
- market our screening programmes
- increase their knowledge of independent film
- join our production teams
- support in producing, making and marketing their own films
- gain experience with our professional team of festival programmers, filmmakers and game producers
- attending networking events with industry professionals
We are funded by BFI Film Academy, National Lottery and Film Hub South East and are a member of the Young Film Network.
